Every kitchen we build starts with the same conversation: how do you actually use this room? The answer usually settles the benchtop question faster than any brochure.

Engineered stone is hard-wearing, consistent, and forgiving of a busy household — it shrugs off heat and knives better than most surfaces. Solid timber brings warmth and can be sanded back and re-oiled for decades, but it asks for a little care in return. Acrylic surfaces like Hi-Macs sit in between: seamless joins, integrated sinks, and a repairable finish that suits clean, modern rooms.

There's no single right answer. What matters is matching the surface to the way you live, the light in the room, and the joinery it sits on. We'll bring samples to your table and talk it through before anything is ordered.
